Pigs ‘n Topanga

Driving around the other day listening for inspiration on where to go for a unique birthday present for my friend Krista, I followed my nose to Topanga Canyon, where Krista used to live.

I drove immediately to the gift shop, the Spiral Staircase, at Topanga’s famed Inn of the Seventh Ray restaurant, and knew I had been led to the right place.

Not only did I procure the perfect gift – a hanging set of Indian Lal bells - but also “adopted” Piglet.

Krista says the bells will adorn her front door and Piglet sits on our phone for now but may find a more suitable home in my office.

There is nowhere quite like Topanga Canyon and my brief excursion there was a delight.

Topanga is magical place where pigs actually DO fly!
